The GKhair Keratin Treatment Breakdown.

Frustrated by frizzy hair (especially in this crazy Ohio humidity)? Sick of your blow dry time taking so long? Try a GKhair Keratin Treatment!

A GKhair Keratin Treatment is a smoothing treatment that will leave your hair shiny, silky and manageable with the use of Juvexin, a naturally derived protein similar to the structure of hair, which bonds to the surface and penetrates strands.

The In-Salon GKhair Keratin Treatment Steps:

Step 1: Gently shampoo the hair twice with the GKhair Clarifying Shampoo to remove excess styling products and build-up and to help open the cuticle.

Step 2: Towel dry hair to remove excess moisture. Detangle the hair with a wide tooth comb. Section hair into 3 parts.

Step 3: Start at the nape using ¼ inch to ½ sections, lightly apply the product into the hair with an Application Brush. Comb through to evenly distribute and remove excess product.

Step 4: Use the GKhair round brush to blow dry your hair straight.

Step 5: Flat iron the hair with a titanium flat iron that reaches 450 degrees. Starting at the nape, create ¼ inch sections of hair. Tap the roots and slowly slide the flat iron from roots to ends. Continue this process until all of the hair has been flat ironed. With repeated iron passes over each section, your hair will be sealed with a silky, shiny, smooth look.

Aftercare & Maintenance: For 48 hours after the treatment, do not shampoo hair to allow the Juvexin to form a stronger bond to the hair cortex, do not wear hats, do not use bobby pins or tie back hair with a hair band. To maintain the results and make the treatment last longer we recommend that you only use GKhair shampoos and conditioners.

The Benefits: Greatly reduced blow dry time, greatly reduced frizz, adds shine, blocks the effects of humidity, and depending on the GKhair Keratin Treatment chosen, it can help reduce curl pattern (a.k.a. less straightening). The results last for 3-5 months! Say goodbye to frizz and hello to easily manageable, smooth hair!
